Redefining Success: What Drives You?

For much of my early life, success meant ticking off big financial milestones. A Rolex at 18, my first house at 21, a business at 30, by 40 I had travelled to over 60 countries, and an Aston Martin by 45—these are achievements I’m incredibly proud of. They represent hard work, ambition, and persistence.

But over time, my perspective shifted. A wise man showed me that true success is multidimensional. Beyond material accomplishments, there’s family, health, friends, philanthropy, and the knowledge we gather along the way. Once I started respecting these other metrics, something surprising happened—my financial success grew even further.

Here’s the truth: none of this came easily, and none of it was handed to me. While my family has always been supportive, we were taught to rely on ourselves, not on inheritance or safety nets. That mindset keeps me grounded and drives me to instil the same values in my children: work hard, be resourceful, and never take anything for granted.

I once heard a millionaire say their motivation came from fear—fear of losing everything. But for me, it’s different. My drive stems from the desire to create something meaningful—not just for myself and my family, but for anyone I can help along the way.

So, I ask you: What drives you? Whether it’s ambition, curiosity, or the people you hold close, let it guide you toward your own version of success.
